One Minute Personal Empowerment Technique

Refresh and Recharge |Focus and Concentrate | Release and Move On

1. Sit in silence (preferably with eyes closed) with an ‘intent’ to relax and ‘let go’ of everything. No attempt to do anything! (Please set it up so you won’t be interrupted for a couple of minutes)

2. Count silently from ‘10’ down to ‘0’, one count per breath.
That is:
On the outbreath, silently say the number ‘10’. Simply observe the breath in and observe the breath out.
Then, on the next outbreath silently say ‘9’. Observe the breath in and observe the breath out. Then, on the next outbreath say ‘8’. Continue like this until you get to ‘0’.

3. Just follow the breath … i.e. simply observe the breath with all your attention, while silently saying the numbers, one count down per breath.
(Have natural, normal breathing)

4. When thoughts come in, allow them to flow by, just like clouds in the sky (no judgement).

5. If your attention does get hijacked by your thoughts, simply return to the technique as stated here.
Please be patient.

6. You may cycle through this as many times as you like or as you may need, depending on how busy your mind is. If so, when you begin again, simply start at ‘10’ and count down – one count per breath – to ‘0’, as previous.

 

Enjoy the relaxation, joy, and rejuvenation that follow from this simple technique.
It is good to set an empowerment intention to do this say, three times a day.
